Description of files found in .../NetBSD-1.4.1/vax/installation:

All files are gzipped - use 'gunzip' to uncompress.

The bootfs/ directory contains:

	boot.fs.gz	Gzipped filesystem image holding boot blocks and a
			kernel image with the install tools in ramdisk.
			Can be booted from tape or floppy.

	bootroot.fs.gz	Gzipped filesystem image with bootblocks. Should not
			be needed under normal circumstances, but may be
			needed on machines with boot PROM problems.

The netboot/ directory contains:

	boot.mop.gz	Boot blocks in MOP format

	netbsd.ram.gz	kernel image with the install tools in ramdisk.
