# $NetBSD: LAST_MINUTE,v 1.64 2001/07/26 16:02:50 jhawk Exp $ This file contains important information on the NetBSD 1.5.1 release that did not make it into the main documentation. [port-atari] Due to hardware constraints, the X server was not rebuilt for 1.5.1; instead, it has been copied from the 1.5 atari release. All other X11 client programs were rebuilt for 1.5.1 on another m68k platform. Due to a build error, the 8 July 2001 version of base.tgz has been replaced with a version rebuilt on 24 July 2001. The original file is still available in the atari-2001.07.08 directory. [port-i386] A few problems with the install images were discovered rather late in the process: o restore/rrestore did not exist on a PCI-capable image set o restore/rrestore had problems running o the base.tgz set grew an additional bit to cause one more split image (for floppy installs) to be created The patch to be applied is in ../NetBSD-1.5.1/source/patches/i386-inst.diff. Release binaries have been built with this fix. [port-mac68k] The experimental sysinstall kernels in mac68k/installation/instkernel are known to be buggy. Especially, if you try to use the menu to edit the partition table on a disk with HFS partitions, and then do a clean install, it's likely to newfs (and destroy) the wrong partition! Note that the "supported" installation procedure, as described in the INSTALL.* documents, doesn't use these kernels. [port-pc532] The release notes for pc532 state that sysinst will be used when booting the installation floppy image. Sysinst is not completely working on pc532 as of NetBSD 1.5.1; this will be fixed in a future release. In NetBSD 1.5.1, the installer presented will be the miniroot-based script installer, as in prior releases. [port-mvme68k] Due to a file corruption error, the 8 July 2001 version of miniroot.gz has been replaced a version rebuilt on 20 July 2001. The original file is still available in the mvme68k-2001.07.08 directory. [port-sparc64] Due to a build error, the 8 July 2001 version of miniroot.fs.gz has been replaced with a version rebuilt on 23 July 2001. The original file is still available in the sparc64-2001.07.08 directory.
